Jamaica Organic Pimento Orchard also known as Jamaica Organic Allspice was established in the Mid 1700's but based on family history may have dated back even earlier. Jamaica has been producing and exporting pimento since 1509.

JOPO was recently established by Claudine Peart, a fifth-generation owner but Peart Estate has been producing pimento by the ton since the mid 1700's.

Andrew Peart who died in the 1700's was the founder and first pimento producer in the family.

For over 240 years we've been producing pimento. Most of our pimento trees are over 100 years old, we never use pesticides on our trees. All trees are pruned by hand. Our pimento berries reaped by expert climbers and berries are picked from the broken limbs by pickers. All saplings are grown from an original tree off the Peart Estate. We do not plant tree from other sources or places; all trees genetically are related. Every berry is organic.
